Mixed-Media Artist Former K-12 Visual Fine Arts Educator Community Volunteer Social Justice & Environmental Art I'm a lifetime artist-educator inspired to create by using traditional methods, self-expression, and new media techniques. I draw inspiration from patterns of nature, portraits, animals, and the environment around me. My art depicts personal life experiences, travels and social and environmental concerns. Currently, I'm creating abstract photography using acrylic pour painting combined with a technique I created called "splashart"- when water and paint splash together. Simultaneously, I capture still images of the paint and water transitioning and morphing to create abstract paintings. My fine art photography are produced using professional giclée prints. When necessary, digital enhancement is used to enhance the quality of images.
