Sarah Schneider is an independent photographer and producer. She is inspired by portraits of musicians mid concert and celebrates the nostalgic subject both staged and live. Color and energy guide her artistic vision–that can intertwine people to places, and preserve lovely little moments in time. Sarah is influenced by fantastical ideas, rooted in genuine realities that allow our worlds to expand. With a background in film production, she opens herself up to experimentation in the day-to-day, realizing that every moment is part of the puzzle, and every piece has a part to play in shaping our views. That is to say–what we are able to open ourselves up to and receive as genuine truth at any given moment in time. It is as much the journey as it is the final product that permeates of the artwork. Within this shifting mold of time, Sarah found herself with works at the Tribeca Film Festival, the New York Urban League Spring Gala, and in a magazine rightfully titled Batshit Times. She has always wondered about the moments leading up to a landscape that brought a master painter to paint. Is it the breathtaking view, or perhaps, the journey that led them exactly to that point. Sarah would like to believe it is the journey. Sarah sees the micro-moments of beauty that make up our larger (at times upsetting) world-scapes. She is trusting and creates her artwork with open arms.
