Marc Robin is a French origin photographer with a Californian influence, born in 1943, in the 14th arrondissement of Paris. He studied photography at the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles. In 1965, he was the youngest graduate of his promotion. During his career, Marc Robin realized numerous advertising campaigns for major brands such as Citroen, Philip Morris, Cacharel for Men, Air France, Fiat, Guerlain , Lanvin, Mercedes Benz, L'Oréal, Dior, and many more. He also worked on feature films and magazines such as "Twen", in Germany, from 1969 to 1970. Marc Robin undertook, in parallel, numerous personal works which will be the work of exhibitions, devoting a passion, especially to body photography and nude models. Beside, the photographer continues to perform his own personal work. Marc Robin says he possesses a special sensitivity for the beauty of the body, and loves photographers. He is fascinated by the purity and elegance of women. The project "Private Beaches", realized in the early 1980s with JTProductions, is a series of photos depicting a private beach populated by young naked women. "Enchanted waters" illustrates an underwater world filled with naiads and sirens. In 1989, he began a research project on the theme "Blacks and Whites", which highlights the notion of crossbreeding. In 1994, he devoted himself to the production of "Mama Africa", a gigantic exhibition of 120 photographs depicting the world's largest black dance troupe in motion, real chair and ebony sculptures. Over the years, this project evolved into another, "Black Beauty".
