ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Shooting in Nashville in late winter of course had to stop by The Mother Church of Country Music, Ryman Auditorium. As a kid I remember all the performances from the stage here and to this day, long into adulthood, it still brings chills to walk through the building, see the stage and think of all the acts who played here over the lifetimes. While making shots outside I ran into these two, introduced to me as Jake and Caleb, who had a couple of bedrolls and a guitar between them, seated on the stairs of Ryman -- seeking donations. I didn't get the full story, though did manage to talk to them both for a few -- and get their permission to make some shots. Amid it all, Jake picked up the guitar and played a few songs -- including Lawdy, Miss Clawdy and Bad Moon Rising -- and tell you what, he could play a little . . . Loved this color shot of the two and thought that chronicling them was an important piece of the current Nashville scene. Offered in Limited Edition, on Hahnemuhle Fine Art Pearl, numbered and signed. HALF OF ALL PROCEEDS FROM SALES OF THIS PRINT TO BE DONATED TO SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE . . . Size is 15 x 12, 16.6 x 13.6 with borders . . .

SHIPPING AND RETURNS
Delivery Time:

Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

I'm a national award-winning journalist and nine-time Pulitzer nominee who's made hundreds of TV and radio appearances, including NPR and Good Morning America. Author of Swee'pea [Simon & Schuster / Atria], a critically acclaimed book centered around New York City playground basketball legend Lloyd (Swee'pea) Daniels, I've been featured in several documentary films -- including the Emmy Award-winning ESPN 30-for-30 Big Shot. While I've worked primarily as a sports reporter, news reporter, columnist and investigative journalist, I've also done travel writing and photography during a four-decade career at a major New York daily paper, and I'm currently shopping my first novel. This marks my first foray into selling my fine art photography . . . P.S. I've noticed that when it comes to calling up full screen versions of some photos they appear to lack clarity. PLEASE use the "Original" file -- especially, when you're looking at Open Edition prints -- because those files appear to be proper large-scale renditions. Hoping this gets rectified . . .
