ABOUT THE ARTWORK
In 1968 John & Yoko's first joint exhibition, You Are Here, opened at the Robert Fraser Gallery in London. During the opening ceremony 365 white balloons were released over London with a card saying "You Are Here" on one side, and "Write to John Lennon, c/o The Robert Fraser Gallery, 69 Duke Street, London W1" on the reverse. "I declare these balloons high!" - John Lennon, 01 July 1968. Photos by Andrew Maclear. Andrew was one of a few photographers there to document the occasion.
