Famed for their "Mickey Mouse" ears, the Imperial zebra is the largest equid and most threatened zebra species. The Grevy's Zebra sustains a mutualistic relationship with the Oxpecker bird. The Red-billed Oxpeckers dine on the back of the zebra and feed on ticks and parasites. These vampire birds consume blood, not meat.
