ABOUT THE ARTWORK
A complex labyrinth of concrete and steel defines the manufactured landscape of the modern metropolis. LANDLINES is a visual survey of these skeletal “bones” that form a city, in this case the ever expansive Los Angeles. Slices of light shine through epic structures while power lines weave a sprawling web that bind it all together. These utilitarian constructs are often overlooked but are essential to the transmission of traffic, energy and people, the lifeblood of the city. This series seeks to feature the beauty of this complicated urban geometry that silently serves generations of city dwellers.
