n°2/7 printed on fine art William Turner Hahnemühle paper (308 g/m2) "The Vibrations of the Forest" is a series begun in 2019 that focuses on the poetic potential of the forest, its synaesthetic correspondences. On an initial photograph taken in different wooded areas (Norman forest, Venice, South of France) are superimposed more or less transparent layers of the same colorized, painted, redrawn ... From this unveiling-recovery of space, this play of colors and light, a fictional tridimensionality is born which evokes this sensation, when we enter it, that the forest vibrates and breathes. "The perfumes, the colors and the sounds answer each other".

Gaëlle Cueff lives in Paris. She has been mainly working on encaustic art and photography for last 2 years, and her topics are especially based on poetic potential of trees and forest. In a previous period she developed a work rooted largely in the world of cabinets of curiosities and surrealism. Her collages and assemblages combine elements of the animal kingdom, pictorial interventions and photographs in singular images with a strong narrative tendency. Her polysemic stories speak of hybridization, traces, memory. Some of her works are in Chinese, American, Swiss, French and Belgian private collections.
