ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Fine Art Limited Edition --- ”Light and Dark” by International Awarded Fine Art Photographer and Travel Lover. ----- This image is available in a limited edition of 10 with a numbered certificate of authenticity signed by the photographer Werner Roelandt. Standard the pictures are printed by high-quality inkjet printers on Hahnemühle Fine Art Paper (archival museum quality) with a size of 30cm x 30cm (12"" x 12"") and mounted in a white (Light) or black (Dark) frame (40cm x 40cm - 16"" x 16"") Other ways of printing or mounting, including framing or larger sizes are possible on request. Images are sold individually or in pair. Price for one image, 20% discount when ordering a pair. ----- Light and Dark Series Until recently, it was customary for the lights in our streets to stay on all night, but nowadays they are switched off at night. This change inspired me to capture the difference in the street scene by taking photos just before and just after 11pm. My photo series ”Light and Dark” captures the atmosphere of the same place with only a few minutes difference, i.e. with and without street lights.

When the international awarded photographer Werner Roelandt looked straight down more than 600 meters from the Preikestolen in Norway, he got the idea for “The World From Above”. The vertical image was fantastic and completely different from how we normally look to the world. He would change the horizontal perspective and look at the world "from above" from now on. All photos from the fineart photography project “The World From Above” were taken straight down from public places open to everyone. All this without using a drone.
