About The Artwork
This is a solitary rock standing in the sea on the south-west coastline of Izu Peninsula. In this particularly hazy afternoon the black rock was standing out in the white sea with grace and elegance. A long exposure helped accentuating the effect by smoothing the water around the subject, making for a really minimal composition. The original is printed on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Satin 310 gsm 100% Cotton white satin-finish paper and manually signed at the bottom.
