Uruguay
Shuli Dura is an Uruguayan photographer born in 1996. She began her self-taught practice at the age of fourteen becoming interested in self-portraiture. Her work is a result of transversal artistic languagues applied to photographic experimentation, frequenting as thematic axes identity, fantasy and the relationship of the human being with its environment. Shuli is one of the youngest uruguayan artists to be considered for the National Prize of Visual Arts of her country. Her first solo exhibition was at the age of eighteen years old. She is part of several archival projects such as the Women Photograph photographic community (USA), Archivo X (UY) and the Transgender Museum of History and Art of Brazil. She currently works and lives in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
