- Conceptual Documentary - Who am I to tell you who am I? Definitely a traveller through time and space. This is my favourite planet as this is the only piece of rock across the Universe where the natives play music. Or take photographs. Don’t forget: color is non-existent, it only happens in humans’ minds. Music? Same story. Although I have been fidgeting with analogue technology for years, most of my images are taken with digital cameras. Do I miss my Plaubel Peco Junior 6x9 cm cardan film camera? A lot. Most of my images are found somewhere out in nature or on the streets. I don’t create scenes and I don’t change image elements in Photoshop. Do I enjoy if other artists do it? You betcha. I just don’t. Could I? Maybe. Will I? Who am I to answer this question? My images are representations and alterations of seemingly unimportant pieces of reality from where I could extract a tiny bit of happiness. A piece of grass in gegenlicht against a metal structure. A shine of light on the riverbank. Mountain mist. Light. Shadow. Colors. Tones. Structures. Tonality. Rhythm. Crossbreeds of all these. Structures created with or against these non-existent phenomena. Did I say they only exist in our minds? I am so much in love with color that very often I kill it. Because of pure jealousy. It’s mine and it can’t belong to you too. What remains is a carefully toned balanced black and white image. Ashes of colors to enhance formal structures. Sometimes I keep both versions - who am I to judge anyway? Zen is about a moment some say. Photography is about a moment too. I tell my zen master stories through these images. Is taking a raw photograph a snap? Yes most of the time it is. Is creating an image out of it a quick process? Not exactly. Do I "see the world through my lens as my images reflect"? Hell no. I see the world as a human being, my perception is just about the same as Yours. In this life and planet anyway. What you see here is how I want to present what I see in this world. For I am a traveller through time and space. Don’t forget color is non-existent, it only happens in our minds. Music? Same story.
