Lory was born in São Paulo, Brazil, with the south of Italy serving as her cherished second home, a place filled with family and the joys of discovery through travel. For the past seven years, she has lived in London, expanding her artistic repertoire and enjoying life across Europe. Her passion for art and self-expression was cultivated early on, inspired by her upbringing as the daughter of creative parents—a Brazilian fine artist and an Italian tenor and classical guitarist. This unique blend of influences ignited her artistic journey. Over the past 12 years, Lory has flourished in the realms of marketing, fashion, and advertising, collaborating with prestigious institutions such as Conde Nast, Saatchi Art, IPG, and WPP advertising agencies across South America, Europe, and the UK. Her extensive experience in these fields has honed her ability to capture the essence of her subjects, whether in high-fashion shoots, advertising campaigns, or editorial collaborations. As a versatile visual artist, Loredana's work spans aesthetics, art, and architecture. During her initial years attending architecture university, she worked with prominent names in portrait and interior design. Later, while studying advertising and marketing, she developed a profound love for macro and abstract photography. Loredana has earned a respected reputation through her social photography, with delicate and profound images that frequently debut in online and printed publications, including Time Out London magazine. Her purpose is to guide viewers beyond the surface of the image, drawing attention to details often overlooked, through an appreciation for symmetry and repetition, balanced by a vibrant embrace of color and spontaneity. At the heart of her photography is storytelling. Each image, title, and caption she creates weaves a narrative that resonates deeply with viewers. Her paintings strive to immortalise moments, whether real or imagined, evoking stories and experiences in those who connect with her work. Discover the world through Loredana Cortese’s lens and experience the beauty and depth of her artistic journey, unveiling beauty in every frame.
