During my last trip to the Maldives, I was fascinated by these old and big trees and above all by their roots. I saw myself in these roots, the bond that binds me to my origins, to my principles which are the foundation of who I am and how I am. The roots in the sand represent the deepest connections that are born within each of us as in plants. Those principles that we carry within us on our life path and that nourish our purest being. The tree changes the leaves, we change the ideas, opinions or simply the point of view but we both keep the roots. In these stupendous monochrome images, the concept behind the purity and symbolism of belonging to the roots are the key to understanding this fascinating series of “Roots in the sand”. I believe in giving my clients beautiful artwork on luxury papers that hold their colours for a lifetime! For these special prints of my work I use Hahnemühle Photo Rag® 308 g/m², and the highest quality inks.I control the colour representation at all stages to ensure you get a truly handmade image. About My Materials: People often say that my images look like paintings because of the richness of the colours, the depth of the black and the texture of the materials I use. I work with the finest paper and I combine it with non fade inks to create a work that will last for more than a lifetime. Prices increase as the edition sells and once the edition run has sold out no other prints will be made. Numbered and signed on front edge. Print included a "1" cm white border around the image.
