Sofia Ferrari is a 20-year-old Brazilian visual artist, with her youthful soul she holds a technical degree in Visual Communication with a focus on drawing and photography. Since childhood, art has always been her greatest passion, as she felt it was a space where she could express emotions, imagine worlds and translate what she feels into colors, shapes and lines. Over time, this love expanded: beyond drawing and painting, she discovered the magic of photography, the possibility of eternalizing moments and places, preserving with them vivid memories. Sofia's influences come from her daily life and the world around us. Her artistic practice is divided between photography focused on landscapes and architecture, marked by an observant and optimistic look; and her drawings represent what is taking her attention at the moment. While her clicks seek the best angle to eternalize the beauty of each vision she deems authentic, her drawings are guided by the longing for peace that each brushstroke brings. Her current photographic work emerged during a transformative trip made at the end of 2024, when she traveled through several cities in Italy and also Paris, France, during the Christmas season. During this period, she captured landscapes, urban details and atmospheres that drew her focus and awakened her affection. Her photographs reflect a careful look at the subtle charm of the simplest things, such as a cappuccino served in a Christmas mug before walking through the cold streets of Verona, to the most majestic ones like the Duomo of Florence and all the magnificent details of this structure. Her handcrafted work consists of engaging drawings and paintings using watercolor techniques. She is carried by her sensitivity and the famous freedom that art nurtures within those who dare to love her. In her creations, Sofia likes to represent animals; characters; flowers; persons and any other element, figures that inspires and touches her as a request to be portrayed. At the end, it can be said that Sofia is not just a hopeful young artist, but a hopeless romantic, in love with the world and with life. Her lens turns to lights, reflections, urban textures and enchanted atmospheres — everything that, in our eyes, deserves to belong.
