Mindil markets run each Thursday and Sunday in the dry season, in Darwin. Just before sunset, the activity dies down and the market goers pop over the sand dune and congregate on the beach. Kids playing, dogs running around and people enjoying each other's company. When the sun has gone down, there is an almighty cheer and then the market fires up again, people slowly leave the beach. Brilliant display of people, (from all cultures, creeds and beliefs) congregating to have good times, respecting nature and enjoying themselves. Truly a great place to visit.
