Evelyn Curry Art is a multidisciplinary visual artist whose work explores memory, travel, place, and the emotional connections we form with the world around us. Working with digital montage photography, Evelyn transforms observations and experiences into richly layered compositions that invite viewers to look at familiar places in unexpected ways.

Travel is a continual source of inspiration. Evelyn photographs the places she encounters and later revisits those images in the studio, selecting fragments that resonate with her memories of a particular experience. Through extensive digital manipulation, she cuts, layers, erases, and rearranges as many as thirty original photographs to construct a new image. Rather than simply documenting a place, these works reconstruct the artist's memory of it—allowing color, scale, atmosphere, and detail to shift in ways that reflect how memories are experienced and remembered.

This interest in the relationship between place and memory extends beyond travel. Evelyn is drawn to overlooked details, cultural references, landscapes, architecture, and everyday moments that can become meaningful through observation. Her work often balances recognizable imagery with an altered, dreamlike quality, creating visual spaces that feel both familiar and imagined.

Her practice is grounded in the belief that art can preserve more than a physical record of a place. It can preserve a feeling, a moment, or a way of seeing. Through photography and painting, Evelyn seeks to create work that evokes curiosity, recognition, and the pleasure of remembering somewhere—or discovering it for the first time.
