"Flowers have spoken to me more than I can tell in written words.  They are the hieroglyphics of angels, loved by all men for the beauty of their character, though few can decipher even fragments of their meaning."  ~Lydia M. Child For my flower photography I need a certain light and a certain mood. It is as if the picture comes to me - flowers can't be chased... Almost all my flower photography is taken solely in sunlight. I spend quite a long time with one flower and sometimes in a certain moment she lets me in - this is the picture. Unlike humans flowers have no inside or outside - a fully open flower exhales all her inside. To me it feels as if the scent of the flower appears in the picture. Or the scent of the moment and the scent of the sun. As Claude Monet said: “I must have flowers, always, and always.”
