ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Recent global awareness campaigns and movements like MeToo emphasise how women have been sexualised for centuries. This has led me to, mostly, obscuring my models’ faces and not publishing full frontal nudes. I feel that, when presented with an opportunity to identify the model, it takes away from the art. I want to protect my models and offer a safe space for them to grow in confidence. This is one of my favorite photos with a new model, using side light and a traditional Vietnamese hat to conceal her identity.

A quick summary of myself: - I’ve been shooting for over a decade - For the past 7 years, I’ve been specializing in VR filming - I’m a creative who explores various art fields, including NFTs - I always strive to do things differently Photography wasn’t something I planned on pursuing, but it found me early on. Technology sparked a passion that’s driven me ever since. As a young photographer, I wandered through the landscapes of Cape Town, honing my craft and sharpening my perspective. Fine Art, particularly the human form, has always fascinated me. Salvador Dali and the ancient Greeks captured the body in ways that continue to inspire me. French Fine Art photographers, romance, and nature were my early influences, leading me to create "Lentille NU"—meaning "Naked Lens." My goal is to capture quiet, beautiful, and often unnoticed moments of the human body. In today’s world, where over-sexualized imagery is everywhere, I want to show the body’s natural elegance in more thoughtful ways. Beyond nudity, my work explores the beauty of the human form with an eye for the subtle and the serene. **** Important Information **** Limited edition archival photos are printed on heavyweight (308gsm Smooth) museum-quality artist paper with archival pigmented inks, meeting Fine Art Trade Guild standards for lasting quality.
