"Never Leave Me" Photo: Reylia Slaby Model: Dagny Tarver -Limited Edition, small edition 1/15 -Printed on Fine Art Paper in Tokyo -Signed -Certificate of authenticity included Also available in: (Sizes in millimeters) Editions of 15: 364 x 364 Editions of 10: 515 X 515 Editions of 5: 728 x 728 Editions of 3: 1030 x 1030 I hold onto things. I clutch tightly at what I love, and refuse to let go, even when I know that it is impossible for it to stay. Even as I feel it slipping through my fingers, I tell myself that if I hold a bit tighter, maybe it will stay. I'm getting a bit better regarding this sentiment. I'm slowly learning to accept that things, even beautiful things, can't be forever, and you need to allow them to gracefully exit your life as they entered. My only job afterwards is to be grateful that I had them, even for a moment. This season in Japan is always so beautiful. The ume and sakura blossoms are everywhere, and it means that winter is finally saying his last adieu. Despite the abundant happiness that spring brings, I find that the sakura tend to leave me feeling sad. It wasn't until I began fine art photography that I realized these feelings towards the blossoms. Whenever the season rolled around, several people would always tell me I need to take advantage of the time while it lasted, and I always agreed earnestly. Although I could never bring myself to actually have a shoot. Until this year. I can't thank Dagny enough, for being so brave at agreeing to do this shoot. It was so cold the day of the photo-shoot, and raining quite hard. You are incredible smile emoticon Always, Reylia --- Website || Twitter || Instagram || .slaby Blog ||

Reylia Slaby is a Fine Art photographer. Born and raised in Japan to American parents. Reylia draws her inspiration from the well of culture, confusion, but a deep love of life, with a heavy appreciation of it's parade of beauty. But it is impossible to fully enclose the complete intention of an artist into one tiny white block. We are infinite, and our goals in art overextend that infinity. Who can comprehend the heart of an artist? Who can understand that swirling, glittering, perfect, demented mind? The artist probably least of all understands himself/herself, and because of that uncertainty of self, a life of creation is embarked upon.
