When a girl wants to do what she wants, you should let her do it... This little girl obviously manage to do what she wants, as show the 3 heads on the right bottom of the collage. The title is a reference to a very old French song, "Sur le pont de Nantes", talking about a girl that doesn't obey to her parents and go dancing on the bridge, but the bridge collapses and she drowns. The original work is a handcut collage with paint. This copy is the n° 2 on a 7 limited edition, directly printed on aluminum. The edition is limited to 7 prints + 2 artist proofs, regardless size of the print. Each of them is numbered, signed and provided with a certificate of authenticity. The original collage is also on sale.

Gaëlle Cueff lives in Paris. She has been mainly working on encaustic art and photography for last 2 years, and her topics are especially based on poetic potential of trees and forest. In a previous period she developed a work rooted largely in the world of cabinets of curiosities and surrealism. Her collages and assemblages combine elements of the animal kingdom, pictorial interventions and photographs in singular images with a strong narrative tendency. Her polysemic stories speak of hybridization, traces, memory. Some of her works are in Chinese, American, Swiss, French and Belgian private collections.
