Piotr Skubisz (b. 1978, Poland) is an internationally acclaimed Fine Art Photographer specializing in intimate portraiture and the exploration of the human form. He is officially represented by the prestigious Brodziak Gallery, a recognition that confirms both the artistic and investment value of his work. In 2024, he was ranked as the #1 Fine Art Photographer in Poland by One Eyeland. Artistic Philosophy & Background His practice is deeply rooted in his academic background: he is a graduate of the renowned Film School in Łódź (PWSFTviT) and studied Polish Studies at the University of Warsaw, specializing in Cultural Anthropology. This foundation allows Skubisz to treat photography as an anthropological journey—a path to understanding "otherness" and uncovering the layers of human identity. His images are not merely aesthetic portraits but reflections on self-awareness and the universal mystery of the human body. Acclaimed Works & Recognition Skubisz is best known for his compelling series "Portrait of a Poet – A Journey Through Layers," which earned 3rd Place in the Professional category at the 2025 International Photography Awards (IPA). The project, born from a creative dialogue with poet Manka Menga, exemplifies his ability to capture the nuance of human emotion and cultural identity. His status in the art market was further solidified in 2025 when his photograph “Gaze” was acquired for Szymon Brodziak’s private collection. International Reach & Publications Currently based in Warsaw, his work has been exhibited globally, including the Arles OFF Festival (France), IMAGENATION PARIS (Paris Photo OFF), and the Sony World Photography Awards Traveling Exhibition across Berlin, Milan, and Paris. He has been featured as the Cover Artist for Analog Mag and published in the Sony World Photography Awards Book 2025.
