Print Description —————————————————————— Oasis Dreams The variegated shades of lines and colors is what compelled me to explore this agave. I was glad to find an interpretation by playing with different hues. There's just enough definition to realize the vision. The softened background provides the appropriate backdrop and contrast to the spines and needles that subtly grab our attention. PRINT DETAILS ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The image will be printed using archival inks and Moab Somerset Enhanced Velvet Fine Art Paper, 255gsm, 100% Cotton, Textured White, Mould-Made. This natural white paper produces deep, rich blacks with an unparalleled color gamut. The archival 100% cotton heavyweight paper has a smooth surface with a velvety fine art touch. This print will be signed & numbered on a 2" border and will include a Certificate of Authenticity. Prints are also availabe in other sizes upon request. Brandon LeValley (1954) is a photographic artist from the United States. In 1976 he graduated from Washington State University where his Bachelor’s Degree included Art studies. He’s always had a passion for photography. That desire was fueled early in life when he was still shooting film and utilizing a darkroom to process images. Holding a final print offered a world of experience seeing how the light on a subject materialized. Years later he realized the digital camera had revolutionized processing. Today, he converts most images to black and white and often shoots botanicals for their dramatic lines and shape. He’s also drawn to architecture and landscapes. Living near Joshua Tree National Park provides many dramatic configurations that come from his explorations. While his journey in photography has evolved, it’s often ignited by striking lighting. He’s fascinated by the abstract and uses every tool to achieve a finished composition. A unique image, he believes, comes about by a disciplined and oftentimes exhaustive approach. Knowing the payoff can be rewarding, that commitment to detail ultimately renders a more compelling work.
