Portrait of a girl gazing into fractured light. This series of drawings puts a magnifying glass on the interpreting process that comes with art, as it combines several things that are deep rooted in the oldest parts of the human cognitive faculties, like pattern recognition and interpretation of facial features, while playfully referencing (Maori) tattoo’s, traditional war paint, or expressive facial make up for stage performance, and implying psychological sub-currents of various shape and meaning. I drew the original in October 2022, pastel pencil on pastel mat size: 11.8”x 17.7 / 30 x 45 cm ——————————————— Now available as Art Print on stretched silky fabric.. Ready to hang. Some drawings are printed on to canvas, or silky fabric, or straight onto aluminum panel. These editions are also ready to hang.
