Originally photographed in the fall of 1974 while working toward my Master of Fine Arts degree in photography. The subject are flowing water, rocks, and the reflection of golden leaves in a mountain stream. The image was made with a medium format film camera, which provided extreme detail. I processed the film and made one print on 11X14 paper in the color darkroom at the time. That print has long ago faded and been discarded. This print is from a new edition of 10 created from a high resolution scan of the negative and printed on Epson Exhibition Fiber paper on a professional Epson printer, using archival pigment inks with a longevity in excess of 100 years. The paper measures 22" X17". There is a border of 1" on the left and right, and a border of 1.62" on the top and bottom. It is signed and dated in archival pen on the bottom right. It is titled and numbered on the lower left in archival pen. On the reverse is my thumb print with my initials. This is one of my favorite images. I have limited the edition to 10 to make available to only a few collectors. On the front of the print, I have put the date of creation of the image. On the reverse is the date of printing of this print.

BLACK FRIDAY SALE ON MY WEBSITE Mr. Martin is a citizen of the USA, having been born in upstate New York State and spending his youth in the small rural village of Clinton. Because of this exposure, and frequent trips to their summering spot in the Adirondack Mountains, nature became a part of him. Naturally, it would become expressed though his art, which was inspired by his father, a part time professional photographer and amateur watercolor painter. When he was young, professional cameras were ever present, as well as a fully equipped darkroom. There was a mystique about photography, and "that place", that he wanted to know, so he convinced his father to teach him. Thus began a life long career as a fine art photographer. Later, he went on to study fine art photography at college, and earn an MFA in photography so as to be able to teach photography on the college level, have time to produce his work, and earn a living from what he loved. He was a fine art photography teacher for over thirty years, and is now retired, having done so in 2008, to concentrate full time on his work. Over the years, Mr. Martin has won numerous awards and feature articles have been published about him in national and international publications. Recently, his pictures have been featured in the UK, Australia, and the USA. His flora images of hosta plants have won first place awards in the Prix de la Photographie, Paris, the International Photography Awards (The Lucies), and the International Garden Photographer of the Year.
