Born in the small but charming town of Newport, Gaspésie in Canada he enjoyed his childhood in the great outdoors, surrounded by the forest and the sea. His father, first a fisherman then a lumberjack, taught him wisdom and liberty of expression. From a very young age, he started to express himself through photography. Only then was he certain his love for photography and exploration would bring him to travel beyond the Canadian borders. Since he’s 17 years old, he’s been true to his passions and faithful to his purpose, he travels the world with a suitcase and a camera. With a thousand clicks in more than 80 cities in 20 countries, he has made many acquaintances that have made him the photographer but more importantly, the man he is today. He excels his path by pursuing a bright career among major French-Canadian names, designers, Architects and artists From February 2009 to August 2010, Paul-André Larocque is a freelance photographer in Madrid, also working along with The Zombie Kids and Mistress Barbara, in collaboration with the spanish journalist David Farran De Mora. Then he get back in Canada and he began working as a travel reporter and artistic director at Mixte Magazine until 2012. In 2013, him and 2 partners started a studio that goes beyond popular standards. The art of creation and imaging is their passion and their profession. They work in a way to always bring their knowledge and their clients to a superior level. Whether it is for a photo production or a video production, Punk Studio will always offer a turnkey service. By bringing all his passions together, Paul-André Larocque became naturally a multimedia artist. He made his first two solo exhibitions in Montreal in 2006 and 2007. In January 2014, he was invited by the Canadian artist, Yunus Chkirate to collaborate on his exhibition called "Modernized". Their event was part of the official program of the famous Australian Mardi Gras in Sydney in late February 2014.
