ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Real satellite photography, without any manipulation. The shots of the SACRED EARTH series push us to look at Max Serradifalco's terrestrial explorations in a new light; by interpreting the images and playing with imagination, one can see how the earth presents figures linked to the world of biblical imagery, specifically Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper. An artistic/theological operation to return to admiring creation, remembering that care and protection arise essentially from a contemplative gaze of which art is the promoter. Unique series, edition of 9 Giclée fine art on Photo Rag Hahnemuhle museum paper. Edition numbered and signed by the artist accompanied by the certificate of authenticity.

Max Serradifalco (Palermo 1978). In the 2011 he elaborates the artistic project "Web Landscape Photography" in which he virtually travelled all over the planet in search of a new way of observing and reinterpreting the landscapes of the Earth. He was among the first artists to realize, through the web, photographic artworks with the exclusive use of satellite maps. A work with a great and revolutionary aesthetic impact, an art that eliminates every space and time boundary. The photography are not manipulated. ----------------------------- Public Collections in Italy: Riso - Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Sicily (Palermo). Exclusiva Design Foundation (Rome).
