Santa Rosa Stingrays #2 - Limited Edition of 5 Photograph

This image is part of the “Santa Rosa Stingrays” series, which was shot in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. This area of Florida is known as the Emerald Coast. Named for its crystal-clear water that often takes on an almost emerald green color. Due to the clear and shallow water at the shore, beachgoers are often treated to a full view of marine life! This particular day a group of cownose stingrays rushed the shore! There were about 10 of them that swam together. They would swim quickly towards the shore stirring up the sand, in hopes of churning up some food, and then swim away only to return a few minutes later and repeat the process. This cycle continued on for quite a while, and during the span of their activity, several fun images were captured of these playful creatures! This series not only captures the energetic nature of the stingrays, but it also highlights the fantastic texture of the rippling water, as well as the glistening Florida sun as it reflects off the water’s surface and creates shadows in the sand. This is a 28" x 37" image on 32” x 42” paper, unframed. The paper is Hahnemühle Photo Rag, and is made from 100% cotton. This is archival, museum quality paper with a smooth surface that is completely matte (zero shine). The bright white cotton allows for the colors to be at their truest, and the shadows at their fullest, which creates a wonderful contrast that will stand out on your wall!
