Award Winning Photographer Luciana Pampalone, Her love of photography began at a young age, drawing inspiration from photographers Helmut Newton and Deborah Turbeville. She depicts women as strong central figures in her work, allowing them to take on the roles of heroine or harlot, captivating onlookers and creating complex black and white compositions. " I want to create Art that no ones ever seen before" says Pampalone Working for the past 30 years in her commercial career in New York and internationally, Pampalone has been published in various fashion and lifestyle magazines and books. As a photographer and director, Pampalone has been featured in various exhibitions in New York, Bridgehampton and Art Basel Miami, including the American Museum of the Cuban Diaspora and a solo exhibition at the Robin Rice Gallery in Manhattan, as well as receiving a “Best in Show” at The Whiteroom Gallery’s group exhibition in Bridgehampton. What many are only bold enough to envision in dreams and reveries, photographer Luciana Pampalone embraces, pulling us into a secret world, in her latest solo exhibition. Behind closed doors, dramatic chiaroscuro lighting envelopes hidden messages, forbidden desires and unanswered questions – all in a realm of undiscovered landscapes, decadence sensual beauty. As her lens teases, taunts and seduces her subjects into accompanying her on this erotic voyage, Pampalone is the agent provocateur – and, as only a true provocateur can do, she imperceptibly shifts the mantle of voyeur from herself to the viewer, drawing us into her world.
