ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Stonehenge IV Part of a series titled: Stonehenge, England. Scenes from a shoot around Stonehenge, England in July 2016. The sun and clouds throughout this day added enormously to the electrifying mysticism of the area. It isn't just the standing stones that captivate this photographer but also the horizon-wide view of Neolithic history. Stonehenge is a prehistoric scheduled ancient monument and World Heritage Site in Wiltshire, England. Stonehenge's ring of standing stones are set within earthworks in the middle of the most dense complex of Neolithic and Bronze Age monuments in England, including several hundred burial mounds. Limited edition (#1 of 25) fine art print available for sale: 30x20" print, printed directly on to a quality specialist foam-core material with an attached Certificate of Authenticity. Photo and canvas prints are available via Saatchi Art. The 1/8-thick foam-core panel is very sturdy and extremely light. These limited editions have an integrated floating hanging system so your artwork is delivered ready to hang. Copyright: David Crosby - All licensing considered, contact

David Crosby, born and raised in London, but later schooling and family life was away from the hustle and bustle after a relocation to Middle England. After years in a beautiful Georgian stone town with a vibrant community of artistic and creative people to inspire him, he now works listening to the cries of seagulls in a south western Devon seaside town, nature calling constantly. His botanical works are a juxtaposition of the fine arts and the detail afforded by macro photography. A complementary combination of aesthetics and the beauty of natural world geometry. The transition from technically perfect photography to the adoption of a fine art style came naturally from his long term appreciation of this finesse across all genres. When creating, he begins a piece with the final result in mind but is always open to new processes along the way. His expectation is that when people see his work they are able to feel the beauty in the subject that first captured him. Part of his joy in working on a new piece of art is the sense of contentment at being able to recreate visual experiences and the anticipation of future sharing. Whilst working within photography he is reminded that he is capturing a moment in time, be it staged or natural, a literal and graphical snapshot of history. More recently David has also been studying the works of the generative artists, those artists who sculpt computer art with algorithm manipulation. Their ability to map the numeric world to the artistic is inspiring him to create similar and Is looking forward to sharing those pieces.
