"Tangerine Glasgow" Photograph

Michelle De La Rue Hynes is a visual artist with a passion for painting. She lives and works in Glasgow's West End. With a passion for colour she paints in a vibrant style using oils, acrylics,watercolour and mixed media. Influenced by abstract expressionism and cubism she draws inspiration from Picasso,Monet and the impressionists. She is influenced by the works of Lucien Freud , Francis Bacon, Frida Kohl and Raoul Dufy. Her first professional exhibition was "Colours of Glasgow in 2007" which was well received She exhibited in 2013 at the Hand That feeds exhibition in December 2013 in Glasgow and was an invited guest artist at Bar Ten in January 2014 by the Any and Or artist collective. Michelle has several up and coming solo shows scheduled for 2014 including new commissions in New York and Berlin later in 2014. He passion for colour, communications and technology find her in a juxtaposition between traditional methodologies and forward thinking art. She hosts a virtual International art hub at and is a well known and award winning blogger in areas of Law, marketing,business & Health. She has begun blogging in the art world and is passionate about the art of communication. Michelle accepts commissions by appointment.
