I’m an artist, photographer, designer, and filmmaker based in Los Angeles, California. English born, I am a graduate of Fine Art from Edinburgh College of Art, Scotland, where I worked in various mediums, with a focus on memory, coincidence, and authorship. Following graduation I moved to New York City and worked as an art director and editor at Vanity Fair, GQ, and CITY magazines, and exhibited artwork at NYC’s Artists Space and Whitney Museum of American Art and London’s KK Outlet. I edit and publish artist’s books under my publishing imprint, Brown Griffin and my titles are sold in a dozen countries. My photography book, Vacancy, was the recipient of Japan’s Mount Zine Best Photography Book award in 2011. Since moving to Los Angeles I have resumed my personal studies, currently exploring themes encompassing nature, texture, perception, and geometry.
