In his latest series, 'The Twins and the Green Car', Vikram invites viewers to step into his daydreams and embark on an exploration of the surreal. Through the haze of orange and green smoke comes the peculiar story of two sisters and their animate green car. Giant balloons and autumnal woodland deepen the sense of childhood magic and Vikram encourages viewers to create their own stories about the sisters and their magical car. As with his earlier works, Vikram continues to merge fairy tale with modernity and blend innocence with uncanny maturity. His inspirations come from various sources - the surrealists and the romantics being pivotal. Like Peter Pan he refuses to grow up which is very evident in his child-like adventurous yet playful visions. In this series he has also taken inspiration from the stories of author Enid Blyton. This artwork (like all of my other artworks) is sold in 3 sizes - all limited editions of 8 each. 60cm x 50cm - $900 90cm x 74cm - $1400 110cm x 90cm - $1850 *sizes rounded off to the nearest centimetre.
