Tower Bridge, Butler's Wharf and The City at Sunset - Limited Edition 4 of 100 Photograph

This is a panoramic photograph of London at sunset, looking across the River Thames, with Tower Bridge with many of the tall skyscrapers of The City as well as the Shard at left. St Paul's Cathedral appears behind Tower Bridge. It was created by digitally blending together many individual images taken with a powerful telephoto lens, creating a wide panoramic view of great detail, rich tones and very high resolution. This was captured in May 2016. I had photographed from this same spot before, but I knew I needed a spectacular sunset for it to be really magical. Because it is quite a distance away form my home, I could not ever just look up at the sky and nip over to capture the view, it needed lots of prior planning! A clear sky is a good indication of a promising sunset, and wispy clouds add that magic to the image. This I managed to get in this capture, which glows with the dying embers of the setting sun.
