Xavier Manrique is a Catalan photographer whose work explores landscape as an inner, emotional territory. His practice moves between the real and the imagined, focusing on themes such as memory, perception, and the quiet presence of nature. Working often with fog, silence, and diffused light, his images do not describe places but evoke states of being. The landscape becomes a space for contemplation, where time slows down and the gaze turns inward. Through long-term projects such as Antany, Ingràvid, Interiors, and Vers l’Illa, Manrique develops a slow and attentive photographic language, rooted in stillness and subtle transformation. His work invites viewers to pause, reflect, and inhabit the fragile threshold between presence and disappearance.
