Tulip in Black and White Photograph

Tulip in Black and White is part of a collection of photographs "Supermarket Flowers". The photograph (16x20) took third place in the 2018 North Palm Beach art show. The competition included all mediums. This is an ongoing project that began in 2011 as I began caring for my of my wife after an illness. The collection includes black and white, color as well as abstract photographs. I photograph primarily tulips and roses, as they go through their life cycle. The flowers both individually and collectively are a wonderful example and reminder of nonjudgmental coexistence in a vase. They also retain individuality as they are in constant transformation as they move thru their cycle of life. Often most dramatic and beautiful at the end.
