I was cooking fish in a frying pan and realised that they had a real Yin/Yan feel. I was in my girlfriend's student flat in Newcastle and the light was quite dim, so the resulting long exposure gave the fish an odd texture. Originally shot on film, the negative has been scanned and is printed on Canson Baryta Photographique 310 gsm paper. Paper size 21cm x 14.8cm. Image size is 16 x 10.5cm. Signed, dated, titled and edition number on verso. Sent with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Born in 1955 in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and could not wait to get away. Spent time after finishing an ignominious school career in Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan Pakistan, India and Nepal. Then studied Photography at Sheffield Poly, starting in 1979. Did Teacher Training and taught for 1 year at a school in North London which was more than enough. Subsequently worked for Warner Brothers in a non photographic capacity and the BBC both Teaching and Photographing. I have recently returned to working with traditional, wet processes alongside digital. The images in my portfolio start in the 70's and go through to the present day.
