Upper West Side Story captures the claustrophobia New York can have on its residents while still providing them the "light at the end of the tunnel." I had to capture an angle of the city that couldn't be found in romanticized lifestyle or street photography. A view that can't be seen from office windows, rooftops, or a taxi. And yet I would argue every New Yorker has an emotional connection with this point of view: the absence of a horizon leaving you to look nowhere but up.
