This is a journey through the bustling cities of Asia. We are invited to explore the intimate stories that exist behind their towering structures. Through the use of diptychs Stephane Ferrero showcases the relationship between the city and its inhabitants, highlighting how the lines of the structures respond to the curves of the bodies. He invites us to ponder the daily lives of the people who live behind these walls, whether they are real or just phantasms. While these cities are known for their hyper-materialism, the artist reveals that they still leave space for imagination and allow us to penetrate the intimacy of possible lives behind the walls. this work questions our relationship with urbanity and puts into perspective the urban and corporal aesthetic. One interesting aspect of this series is that some of the female models posing are real while others are dummies. This trick allows the artist to remind us that the truthfulness of the stories guessed behind urban structures is not always an issue. The series encourages us to contemplate the part of interpretation inherent in photography and to see the urban landscape in a new light. So, come soak into the city with us and explore the intimacy of urban life through Stéphane Ferrero's photography series, "Urban Intimacy."
