Eva is defining herself as a woman and her pronouns are she. Eva is an artist with a multi cultural backgrounds who is born in Ivory Coast and moved to Paris when she was 4.Her love for the artistic expression and she decide to study fine Art for 4 years in Paris. She has moved to Sweden 12 years ago. Eva is based in the second largest city of Sweden, Gothenbourg. Eva Abeto (aka F.J.O) is a bridge maker and a storyteller using multimedia techniques and also having a strong experience with many different media, tools and body of expression such as, paint, printing, live performance, dance, music and social media. She also contributes to Gothenburg cultural life as an organiser of cultural events herself and as a new member of Afroinstitution, a member of Folketsbio in the Swedish cinema Haga and a member of Grafik i Väst a printmaker artist based organisation. Painting and creating is at the center of her life. The creative process helped her to go through breast cancer. Eva Abeto is also a story teller using art as a way of creating new discourse for peace as a powerful tool. Eva wants to show the world of peace and dialogue with her art. She strongly believes that through the lens of different perspective such as post-colonial and feminist and anti-racism and anti-Semitic we can create a path towards peace for a better future for the children.
