Villr is an Old Norse word meaning wild. To be set free, to run wild is a desire I believe we all possess. In much the same way, most of my artwork over the years has been about breaking free from constraints. My new series "Relics of the Wild" is no different. I want it to be a window into a state of wild freedom. To allow your mind to run free, even when the circumstances of your life have you on too short a leash. This series of prints are digital collages, crafted from elements taken from my own photography. I specifically collect images of flora and fauna that I encounter whilst exploring the British countryside, predominantly where I live in the Peak District. My intention for the work, entitled "Relics of the Wild", is to encourage a more engaged level of attention to our day to day encounters with the wild world. Also includes: • Hand signed and embossed certificate of authenticity verified on the blockchain via Verisart • Bespoke "Relics of the Wild" packaging
