Norbert Fritz is a self-taught, award-winning visual artist and photographer whose work explores geometry, repetition, and the transformation of reality into abstraction.
Working across fine art photography and digitally constructed imagery, he is drawn to points, lines, architectural forms, and recurring patterns found in both the built and natural environment. Through careful composition, altered perspectives, and minimalist visual language, familiar subjects are transformed into geometric structures, spatial illusions, and imagined worlds.
His work moves between photography and digital construction while maintaining a consistent interest in balance, rhythm, simplicity, and form. Each series examines a different relationship between reality and abstraction, encouraging viewers to look beyond the original subject and discover new visual connections.
Norbert’s work has received international recognition, including first prize in the Cities category of the 2017 National Geographic Travel Photographer of the Year competition, multiple Honorable Mentions at the International Photography Awards, and an Honorable Mention at the 2026 iPhone Photography Awards. His works have also been exhibited and selected for curated collections by Saatchi Art.
