Water Buffalo on Beach On a remote beach south of Lantau Island in Hong Kong, a herd of wild buffaloes live happily or sadly. The water buffalo (Bubalus bubalis) is a sizeable cloven-hoofed animal commonly raised in Asia. The wild buffaloes mentioned in this article are rewilding groups of domesticated buffaloes. When there was still agriculture in Hong Kong, local farmers widely used cattle and water buffalo to help plough the land and grow rice. Agriculture and rural areas have also changed dramatically as the economy transitions to industry and finance. In the 1970s, paddy fields were abandoned, the rural population lost, and many cattle were abandoned and left in a wild state of self-sufficiency. There are about 1,100 cattle and 120 water buffalo in Hong Kong, distributed in Lantau Island, Sai Kung and the New Territories. ManChingKC - (Chinese: 程文遠 Man Yuen-Ching) Born in Hong Kong. A photography artist who debuted in the 90s, ManChingKC currently lives in the UK. His early work appeared in major media magazines, including ad production, fashion, portrait photography, street photography, and reportage photography. Cooperative customers are large institutions and well-known brands. He began photographing the streets in the 1990s and still walks the streets today, capturing his unique images and sensual landscape photographs. He pays special attention to the relationship between light and shadow, the lines produced by the combination of light and shadow, through subtle and careful observation, manipulating these two elements to reflect this relationship, using the camera to capture authentic images as materials, creating extraordinary and informative photos, usually the expression of surrealism and mysticism, he believes that photography is an artistic creation that captures realistic images. ManChingKC said: “Sometimes photography is a way for me to reflect on life. When I look through the small rectangular space of my viewfinder, the world seems very quiet and still. This space suddenly becomes very vast.
