Over the last year I spent several days walking on the coast from Westgate-on-Sea to Margate, in order to understand what made this place so inspiring for one of the greatest artists of the 19th Century, the English painter William Turner. As a photographer I feel there is a magical atmosphere which permeates the landscape, but it is always different. There is more, Here is the end of father Thames, the point where the river, after 215 miles, meets the ocean.
