Printed on Epson Legacy Platine paper, a heavy weight paper with a satin smooth surface that closely emulates a traditional darkroom print. I use this paper when I want to preserve a sense of photographic reality.
I have a running series featuring the transmogrification of two friends, Willie and Lloyd. They have appeared in various forms: cats, dogs, horses, and here a couple of plastic dinosaurs.
I have captioned this photo in archival ink just below the image (see additional photo). This was an early image in my Willie & Lloyd series, and thinking of the caption really fortified my sense of what the series should be.

I look to elevate the mundane in my work, to create an image that rewards repeated visits. Much of my work is a continuing portrait of Los Angeles. I moved to Los Angeles as a young man to go to UCLA Film School, and it turned into a lifelong adventure.
