Within the line #01 Photograph - Limited Edition of 25

Limited editions of 70x90cm are printed on Hahnemühle FineArt Photo Rag paper 308 g/m2, and are delivered with author certificate. Each artwork is provided with an extra 2cm white border on all four sides to facilitate framing. The paper has been chosen carefully following several tests. The texture gives a three dimensional quality to the image, almost sculptural, that enhances the volume and curves of the surface of the sea, and the sensation of endlessness and borderless of the space underwater. The series “Within the Line” depicts a wounded sea, like a body without a voice, as well as the nakedness of the body that delves into its depth. My intention is to help the viewer to feel the power of nature and realize that we are just a small part of it, not the center. The gesture of the body intrudes into the lacerated yet powerful body of the sea, as if it were a Sibyl, and reveals a precarious ecosystem. I try to depict a sense of vulnerability to nature, in search of a feeling of connection, submission, instead of under the false illusion of control and domination. The artworks of this series were photographed in shores that I know very well, since my childhood. I go back to these shores in the Balearic islands every year, and I feel strongly connected to them.
