ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Amo i Tatoo; il mondo ha sempre amato i segni sulla pelle, da tempi remoti. Il tatoo è un linguaggio, una forma di espressione, un modo silenzioso ed artistico di condivisione del proprio essere unico ed inimitabile. Per molti scrivere sulla pelle è offendere il corpo...ho riflettuto molto su questi aspetti e alla fine ho avuto l'ispirazione che mi ha portato a creare questa collezione. Il tema classico o di "maniera" è stata la base su cui incidere, calcare una nuova bellezza su un'idea di bellezza classica. La cosa per me più entusiasmante è sapere che per la prima volta, sui soggetti taciti di queste antiche opere, si può finalmente dare un'interpretazione (personale) al loro carattere, al loro io interiore ..... Credo di aver creato un'irriverente e straordinaria forma espressiva, pensando alla porcellana come supporto, altro splendido ed antico materiale su cui si è scritto tutto....o quasi!

Diego Ponzuoli, Florence 1984; After studying at the Duccio Di Boninsegna Art Institute, he graduated from the LABA School in Florence in graphic design. In 2008 he moved to New York, where he deepened his artistic career in the world of fashion and design, then to Maastricht, Bruxel, London, the cityes where he worked mainly as an illustrator and painter, and then returned to Italy, moving to Naples then in Siena. In 2018, fascinated by the world of porcelain and its infinite artistic variations, he deepens the theme of lithographic and digital decoration by starting a new professional path that will lead him to the creation of the Tondo Fiorentino Brand, in which he plays the role of Art Director.
