Renowned southern contemporary fine art photorealist painter Patricia Whitty leaves a legacy of masterworks. Select pieces from her final exhibit at Le Mieux Galleries in New Orleans are now available as limited-edition archival certified giclee prints. She has shown her work throughout the United States, but had exhibited most often in her native New Orleans. She received numerous honors and awards, such as the Artist of the Year Award by the Contemporary Arts Center, New Orleans. She was commissioned to design the anamorphic mosaic for the multi-discipline sculpture courtyard in the Hotel Intercontinental New Orleans, as well as to design the poster for the International Water Sculpture Competition for the 1984 Louisiana World Exposition. She is listed in Who's Who in American Art, Who's Who of American Women and American Artists Renown, Who’s Who of Interior Design,(Painting Section), International Edition, and Encyclopedia of Southern Culture, Painting and Painters.
