ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Hand made Fine Art: Each work is hand-printed personally and exclusively by the artist using the Baren. The cherry wood matrices are engraved and excavated personally and exclusively by the artist by hand. Each color and gradation is handmade by the artist personally. Print on display at the Bienale AIMPE 2015 in Japan, dedicated to woodcut, winner of the "Yoichi Fujimori Juror Prize", 18 works awarded among the more than 2,100 works in competition. Technique: Traditional Japanese print engraved on cherry woodblocs engraved and dug by hand. Made by hand with the "baren" each of the matrices made: 9 matrices for the contours of the design, 20 matrices for colors. Passionate about oil painting from a very young age, since 1992 studies and works on Japanese "Moku Hanga" printmaking. She masters luxury printmaking techniques, she has held practical demonstrations in Italy and conferences among the most important is IMC 2017 Honolulu and 2021 Nara. Since 2015 she held workshops on traditional Japanese woodcut sponsored by the Italy-Japan Foundation in Rome. Founder of XiLover Academy in Turin for the teaching and dissemination of Moku Hanga, has collaborate with the International School of Turin. She actually works in Italy and has lived in Sicily, Liguria, Cote d'Azur, Paris and London.
