ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I came across this scene during a walk in the hills around Hartley in New South Wales. The strong tonal contrasts immediately caught my attention and especially the way in which the sky reflecting in the water created such a strong negative space. I hope I have managed to capture and convey the beauty and serenity of the place. Once again, I marvel at the drama of monochrome and at how beautiful landscapes can be even devoid of all their wonderful colours! The image is printed on 300gsm Hahnemuhle paper measuring 66cm x 54cm and framed in a 300mm matt black frame.
